Visceral fat surgery

Due to some reasons, complications occur after a surgical procedure has been performed. So before you undergo a surgical operation, you have to be aware of the possibilities such as the implications of visceral fat after a cosmetic surgery has been performed. You may not know about this but there are health-related issues associated with visceral fat. The said fat accumulates around internal organs and causes multiple health issues. This includes inflammation, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. The problem with visceral fat when it comes to surgery is that it is a unique fat that cannot be removed with liposuction. There are essentially two different types of fat when it comes to getting an hourglass shape. You have the subcutaneous tissue, which is the fat that you can grab in your belly, and then you have the deep fat, the visceral fat, which is the fat below the muscles and around the internal organs.

It is hard to avoid having visceral fat because every time you gain weight, you increase gain proportionally all over the body, including both subcutaneous fat and the deep visceral fat. When liposuction is performed, the patient’s belly will still look large because of the visceral fat particularly if the patient has a lot of this fat. Know that it is impossible to decrease the width of your waist because the intra-abdominal space cannot be reduced due to the size of the visceral fat. There is something called distribution of the visceral fat. There are cases wherein some patients have 80% visceral fat and 20% subcutaneous fat while others have a more even distribution of both types. Patients who have mainly visceral fat are not going to be good candidates for any procedures that include enhancement of the abdomen. Take note that visceral fat is the anti-hourglass. If you want to achieve the hourglass body, it is recommended that you exercise and combine cardio and weightlifting to diminish the visceral fat prior to surgery to attain better results.
