When can I exercise after liposuction

Women have many desires and having a beautiful body is one of those. Some women who want to achieve their desired body shape undergo different surgical procedures. They also do physical activities to improve their body shape. Patients who have undergone liposuction often ask their surgeon if they can continue exercising even after undergoing the liposuction procedure. The answer is no. If you have undergone liposuction and you feel the urge to resume your day-to-day activities, still, you cannot do the things that you were used to. Basically, you need time to rest so avoid yourself from conducting strenuous and physically demanding activities for at least 3-5 weeks.

Liposuction includes incision so the exact time to resume your routine activities still depends on a number of factors. One of these is how well and how fast your incisions heal. Remember, each patient heals differently. What is important is that a little progress each day adds ups to best results in the end. During the crucial time of recovery, patients are advised to avoid strenuous activities like running, weight lifting, vigorous workouts, stretching, and bending for the first three weeks. You may feel uncomfortable after the procedure, making you want to resume your work. Know that you have to follow your surgeon’s advice because if you will not follow the instructions, complications might occur. When complications occur, there is a high possibility that another surgical procedure will be conducted to correct the complications.

Remember, if the surgeon advised you that you can continue exercising, do it slowly. Do not force your body to exercise hard since you have undergone from liposuction. Liposuction includes incision so for you to avoid those cuts to open again, restrict yourself from doing strenuous activities. Consult with your surgeon for you to have a deeper understanding regarding this matter.
