Plastic Surgery Online Consultation

Limiting the number of visitors to our office is one of the most common-sense actions we can take to minimize everyone’s risk.

  • We are allowing every patient just 1 additional guest. Do not come to your appointment with more than 1 additional family member or friend.
  • Do not arrive too early to your appointment so we minimize the number of people in our waiting rooms.
  • We are replacing some in-person appointments with tele-medicine options.
  • We are eliminating unnecessary vendor traffic.
  • We ask patients to not schedule appointments if you:
  • Have fever of 100.0° or greater.
  • Have signs & symptoms of a respiratory illness.
  • Have traveled outside the US in the last 14 days including cruises.
  • Have traveled on a commercial flight in the last 14 days.
  • Have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19

Pre-screening of both patients & staff is another recommended method of minimizing risk. Our pre-screening process will require all staff & patients to answer a questionnaire & have their temperature taken before gaining access to our office. Unless Dr. Cortes requires you to be seen right way, your appointment may need to be rescheduled if you:

  • Have a fever of 100.0° or greater.
  • Show signs & symptoms of a respiratory illness (exceptions granted if you are willing to wear a mask)
  • Have traveled internationally travel in the last 14 days including cruises.
  • Have traveled on a commercial flight in the last 14 days.
  • Have had contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19
  • Patients who must be seen will be asked to wear a mask & will be escorted directly to an exam room.

We ask that you follow our infection control etiquette which includes:

  • Using hand sanitizer immediately when you enter the office & throughout your visit.
  • Washing hands often.
  • Do not shake hands with staff or other guests.
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue if you need to cough or cough into the crook of your arm. Discard used tissues right way & don’t forget to wash your hands afterwards.
  • Be mindful not to touch your face, nose & eyes.
  • Dr. Cortes & staff will be practicing non-contact greetings, please don’t be offended if they don’t shake your hand.
