When it comes to the unpleasant appearance of the buttocks, there are a few solutions that come to mind for people confronted with the issue. Usually it is physical exercise and special diets, then there are creams, lotions, potions, pills, and massages that are said to make your buttocks look firmer, youthful-looking and eventually a bit bigger.

Saggy buttocks can be caused by weight fluctuations, the natural aging process, genetic predisposition and also a sedentary lifestyle. When confronted with sagginess of the buttocks, the patient often has droopy skin on the buttocks and also a general lack of tonus of the buttock structure.

People confronted with this aesthetic imperfection first often look for non-invasive solutions to correct it. Unfortunately, the least invasive, efficient method that can correct saggy buttocks is the Brazilian butt lift.

The Brazilian butt lift is a medical procedure that should only be performed by experienced and board-certified plastic surgeons to achieve good results. The procedure entails a combination of liposuction and fat transfer performed to improve the appearance of the butt but also the areas where liposuction was performed.

The Brazilian butt lift is a good option for patients confronted with a minor level of sagginess in the buttocks. For patients who had a major weight loss resulting after a special diet program or bariatric surgery, the recommendation is often to undergo a butt lift. The butt lift is a surgical intervention that requires the removal of excess skin present on the buttocks. The incisions are longer compared to the small 3-4 mm incisions used for the Brazilian butt lift and the recovery period can be longer. It is true that the butt lift is a more complex procedure compared to the Brazilian butt lift, but each intervention has its own medical indication.

The less invasive procedure to enhance saggy buttocks is fat transfer to the buttocks or the Brazilian butt lift. It is performed under general anesthesia and can take up to two hours, depending on the complexity of each case. The patient doesn’t need to be hospitalized for more than a few hours after recovering from the effects of the anesthesia. The recovery process is quite short after the Brazilian butt lift; however, the patient is advised to wear the compression garments for at least six weeks and avoid sitting or lying on the buttocks.

Creams, massages and other natural or non-invasive methods won’t provide spectacular results that will last in time when it comes to correcting saggy buttocks. However, there is a plastic surgery procedure that is considered less invasive and can work magic on the buttocks. The procedure is the Brazilian butt lift and entails a combination of liposuction and fat transfer to the buttocks.
