Breast Cancer and Implants

Silicone Implant is a hot topic mostly for women these days. One common misconception they usually have in mind is that implants can cause breast cancer. According to Dr. Wilberto Cortes, the risk of developing breast cancer is not associated in any way with breast implant. It has been scientifically proven that those with silicone implant facing the same risk of developing mammary cancer as to those without implants. Women with breast implants have a similar survival rate if they develop breast cancer because after the breast augmentation surgery they need to closely monitor their breast and tell the surgeon if abnormal formations occur. One thing is sure, implants don’t increase the risk of breast cancer.
