Liposuction technique by Dr. Hourglass, Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio

Liposuction is the procedure to remove fat using a hollow cannula connected to suction machine, but do you know that there are many different types of liposuction machine that will harvest the fat and accomplish the same goal of body contorting? Some of the liposuction technology includes a laser assist liposuction, water assist liposuction, traditional liposuction, and power assisted liposuction, among other things. My preferred method of removing fat is using the power-assisted liposuction. Essentially the power-assist liposuction technology uses a hollow cannula like the traditional liposuction machine, but the handle provides power to the cannula and moves the cannula back and forth. If you look at the cannula and if you look in this video, I am holding the power-assist handle. This handle once it is turned on, the cannula vibrates back and forth. There are many things that I like about the power assisted liposuction technology. First of all, it removes a significant amount of fat in a lesser time. It is also more efficient in debulking areas with more significant soft tissue. Contouring is performed not only by the surgeon moving the cannula in and out, but the actual machine moves the cannula itself in and out. This provides a very efficient way of removing the fat. Power assisted technology provides nondestructive way to remove the fat. By using the power assist in the low setting, the fat is preserved, and I am able to use this fat to inject into the different anatomical areas for contouring and augmentation. Power assisted liposuction technology is a great technology that use similar traditional concept of liposuction and at the same time, provides the way to minimize surgeon fatigue and better results.
