Making Over Your Body With a Body Lift

When most people consider having cosmetic surgery, they tend to think of one area instead of their body as a whole. But if you have excess sagging skin or fat deposits in one area, chances are you have them in others as well and may be dissatisfied with them. So when considering cosmetic procedures, you may want to think about getting a full body lift.

A body lift procedure can include having work done on any of the following areas:

An incision is made somewhere close to the problem area(s). If you would like, liposuction can be included and is performed at this stage. Next, skin is lifted to smooth out and get rid of any sagging skin in the area. The excess skin is folded under (with any big excess being trimmed), and attached to deep inner tissue or bone to allow skin to form naturally.

The result is a whole lifted core – from your waist to your knees! The difference is noticeable right away and becomes even more apparent after surgery. Even if liposuction is not performed, you usually will go down at least one clothing size as an added bonus!

There is a 6-8 week recovery period afterwards, during which you will need to keep still and rest. Desk jobs can be returned to pretty quickly after though – in about a week or two.
