Non-fda approved butt augmentation methods

The aesthetic features of the butt play an essential role in defining your overall physical appearance. Aesthetic shortcomings in the butt often affect the quality of life of many women. A smaller butt is one of the prevailing cosmetic problems that women suffer from. Most women desire to have bigger and shapelier buttocks. The good news is that buttock augmentation surgery can help you get the buttocks of your dreams. It can effectively increase the size of the butt, making you look youthful, sexy, and aesthetically welcoming.

While most women undergo buttock augmentation with implants or fat transfer, some women resort to unsafe and non-FDA approved butt enhancement methods. The reason why women resort to these dangerous methods comes down to the cost of butt enhancement. FDA approved butt augmentation is safe and reliable but costs more. On the other hand, non-FDA approved methods are cheaper but dangerous.

What are the non-FDA approved butt augmentation methods?

  1.    Silicone injections

The use of silicone injections for buttock augmentation is a common and very dangerous practice. The FDA has not approved silicone injections for butt enhancement. It is an illegal practice performed by fake practitioners on the black market. The practitioners use it to rob you of your hard-earned money, besides exposing you to life-threatening risks and even possible death.

Keep in mind that t silicone injections and silicone butt implants are not the same thing. The FDA has approved silicone butt implants for use in butt augmentation but not silicone injections. Silicone implants are semi-solid objects that are placed inside the butt, but silicone injection is an industrial grade liquid that comes with many risks.

Most women get illegal silicone injections to save money but when their health deteriorates after the procedure, they pay tens of thousands of dollars on their treatment. Following the use of silicone injection, your butt may temporarily look bigger and aesthetically welcome. However, soon the injection will start to deteriorate your health and the aesthetic appearance of your butt.

First off, you will feel a burning sensation in your butt that will be followed by pain and discomforts. As the silicone makes its way to your organs, it can lead to many serious health issues and even death. Many people have died, and others have become permanently disabled after getting silicone injections.

  1.    Hydrogel injections

The use of hydrogel injections for butt augmentation is yet another dangerous and life-threatening practice. It is not approved by the FDA and can expose you to many risks and complications. Again, illegal and fake practitioners on the black market carry out this practice. It is performed in hotel rooms or private properties.

Hydrogel injection is very risky for your health. Like silicone injection, hydrogel injection can leave you disabled or lead to death. They are made of a composition of industrial chemicals that are banned for use in the medical sector. This illegal injection is cheaper, which is why many women get them to enhance their booty but end up with health and aesthetic complications. Hydrogel injection is made of a combination of water and a chemical called polyacrylamide that is extremely dangerous. It can travel to your organs and affect your kidneys, heart, liver, lungs, etc.

It has also been found that hydrogel injections trigger the development of uneven lumps on the skin, which in turn triggers bleeding and creates aesthetically unpleasant scars.  It can also trigger buttock asymmetry and develop depressions on the butt. In the most extreme case, hydrogel injection can produce severe pain in the chest, besides leading to pulmonary complications and death. It has also been found that some practitioners mix neurotoxin acrylamide in the hydrogel injection, which can slowly kill you.

Patients must not take these risks because it will not only compromise your life and health but also be extremely costly in the long run. Be sure to avoid hydrogel injections and instead go for the safer and FDA approved butt augmentation procedures like butt implant surgery and fat transfer to the butt.

  1.    Mineral oil injection

Another non-FDA approved butt augmentation method is the use of mineral oil injection. Many practitioners on the black market are using mineral oil injection to augment the butt. Most people are unaware of the risks associated with the use of mineral oil injection in butt enhancement. It is an illegal practice and can increase the risks for the patient. Due to the dangers, mineral oil injection for butt enhancement has been banned.

When mineral oil is injected in the butt, it can create many side effects, some of which can be extreme. Dozens of people have died and hundreds have become disabled after getting mineral oil injected into their buttocks. Also, the results are poor and will sustain only for a few days.

  1. PMMA injection

Polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA) injection is also used illegally to augment the butt. While the FDA has approved this chemical, which is made of PMMA microspheres and collagen, it is only for use in hand and facial rejuvenation, not approved for buttock augmentation. This chemical is also extremely costly. One syringe of the PMMA injection costs about $900.

PMMA injection is useful when it comes to treating aesthetic problems like wrinkles on the face and hands, but some people assume it can enhance the butt. The reality is that the FDA has not approved it for use in butt enhancement. Even if this procedure gets approved, it will cost a vast sum of money to enhance your butt by using this method. Also, the results are not satisfactory.

Plastic surgeons always warn patients against the use of PMMA injections in buttock augmentation. But many people are still seeking the procedure despite these warnings. Some even go to foreign countries to get PMMA injections.

FDA-approved butt augmentation procedures

The good news is that the FDA has approved two types of buttock augmentation procedures. These procedures are safe for butt augmentation and the risks are lower. However, they are not entirely free of risks. The first and most popular procedure is buttock implant surgery. Butt implants are made of highly durable silicone material. They are immune to ruptures and leaks.

The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and on an outpatient basis. After administering the anesthesia, the doctor will start the operation by creating incisions on the butt. The length of the incision depends on how large the implants are. The implants come in various sizes. The implants can be placed in one of the three locations: under, over, or within the gluteal muscle. After putting the implants in the intended area, the doctor will suture and close the incisions.

The second FDA approved butt augmentation procedure is fat transfer surgery, also known as Brazilian butt lift. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis. Three steps are involved in the operation: fat extraction, fat purification, and fat grafting. After the anesthesia is administered, the plastic surgeon will start extracting fat from the fat donor sites. The common fat donor sites include the abdomen, sides, upper back, and love handles. Liposuction is used to remove the fat from these body areas.

After removing the fat, the doctor will treat the fat in a centrifuge at high speed so that the impurities, blood, and dead fat cells are removed. In the next step, the surgeon will carefully inject the fat in the butt by using a special needle. After the fat has been injected, your body will vascularize the fat cells in the next few weeks and the results will gradually show after weeks.

Butt implant surgery is suitable for patients who desire to get large buttocks that look voluptuous and sexy. On the other hand, fat transfer is useful for patients who want shapelier and mildly projected buttocks. Both procedures deliver reliable, practical, and sustainable results. Butt implants are permanent devices. They will stay in your butt for a lifetime if extreme problems like implant infection and capsular contracture don’t happen.

If you want to enhance your butt, you should consider only the safer methods that are approved by the FDA. You must avoid undergoing the illegal and non-FDA approved butt augmentation methods.

The buttocks are among the most crucial areas of the human body. They not only help you sit, stand, and move around but also define your body outline. Bigger buttocks look beautiful and improve your body features. On the other hand, smaller buttocks look aesthetically unwelcoming. If you want to get bigger and shapelier buttocks, you should consider undergoing the FDA approved butt augmentation procedures explained above. However, many practitioners are also illegally using non-FDA approved methods to enhance the buttocks. The risks of those procedures have been explained above. The common procedures that are not approved by the FDA for butt enhancement have also been discussed in this article.
