Sexual intercourse after bbl

The Brazilian butt lift is a popular procedure nowadays. Women from all over the world are interested in enhancing their booties in a completely natural manner. The Brazilian butt lift uses just the patient’s own fat cells, so no other external devices are required. This also means small scars left behind after the procedure and also 100% natural looking results.

The success rate of the Brazilian butt lift is high when performed by a talented and experienced board-certified plastic surgeon in an accredited medical facility and when the patient has a medical indication for the procedure. A good health and emotional condition are also important for the success of the Brazilian butt lift.

When coming to the plastic surgeon’s office for the pre-operative consultation or during the first follow-up consultations, patients want to know when they can have sex after the surgery.

When it comes to what can be done after the procedure and when, it is important to know what to expect during the recovery process. Generally speaking, the recovery after the Brazilian butt lift rarely takes longer than two weeks. This is the case if the patient doesn’t have preexisting health conditions that can prolong the recovery process.

During these two weeks after the surgery, the patient will be confronted with swelling and bruising on the buttocks, and these are normal side effects that will subside in time even without treatment. A certain level of pain and discomfort can also occur during the first few days post-op. Pain medication is prescribed to help patients deal with this. However, the discomfort is not severe, and the pain is not intense.

The main recommendation that the plastic surgeon will insist you follow is to avoid putting too much pressure on the buttocks for a minimum of three weeks, but preferably more. This means that the patient should not sit on the buttocks or lie on the back.

Sexual intercourse in the first few weeks post-op might not be very enjoyable for the patient still recovering after the surgical trauma and having to be very careful not to put pressure on the buttocks. In other words, the plastic surgeon might advise you to avoid sexual intercourse for a minimum of four to six weeks after the procedure to avoid unnecessary pain and discomfort and also the death of the fat cells that were just grafted into the buttocks. After the newly transferred fat cells develop a new blood network, there are no issues to put pressure on the buttocks as the cells will behave just like the cells that were initially inside the buttocks.
