I always wanted to share with you my experience with the hourglass butt augmentation surgery. It has been a year since I went under the knife, and only now I got the time to write a review of the surgery here. I have had positive experience with the hourglass butt augmentation, even though during the first few months after the surgery I was uncertain as to whether I will get the improvements I desired.
I am a 38 years old woman. I have four children, which means the pregnancies had affected my body in negative ways, let alone the effects of aging. Like many women out there, I desired to get the hourglass body that features wider hips and smaller waist. My hubby leaves home sometimes for weeks and I didn’t want to be alone after the surgery.
My surgery is next week and I hope I won’t be too anxious! I think about it all the time and I am curious if the recovery will be very difficult, considering that the tummy tuck is much more difficult than the liposuction.

I never had a constant weight, I would easily gain a few (more) pounds over the Christmas holiday but they would shed off before Easter. With aging, the pounds would be more and more stubborn to stay on and I started having more and more developed fat pockets around the waist. Dr. Cortes recommended a butt augmentation with implants and fat, I thought it would be better to skip the implants as I thought I had so much fat at the waist already and it would compensate. He said that without the implants I won’t get that hot projection that we discussed and the augmentation won’t be spectacular, but I thought at least I avoid the risks associated with implants and get rid of the fat in the waist and tummy. After the procedure was done, I kinda liked my new shape, despite the swelling and the bruising and I told the doc I’m happy but he said this is not the final results. After two months, the buttocks was smaller, just like he said but it was still ok. And after this all went down hill. I had a tough period at work, I worked 16 hours per day, not much sleep, not much to eat, in a month I lost a lot of weight and it seemed that there was nothing left after my buttocks augmentation. I also missed the three months follow up consultation with the doc and went to see him after things settled down. He noticed too that the fat disappeared with the weight loss and said it is normal to be so and that he explained before the surgery, which was true. Anyway, after a few months we scheduled the butt augmentation with implants, like he suggested in the first place and now I am six months the proud owner of a perky butts!

I had an hourglass tummy tuck last month, I don’t feel completely restored yet but things are getting better and there is progress. The surgery went on well, I needed the procedure to reconstruct my abdominal wall. The procedure took much longer than estimated, it was about four hours. I was very sick from the anesthesia, I threw up a lot but it got better before I left to get home. I felt very weak after the surgery, but the pain was not terrible, not like I read other people complaining on forums. My husband was by my bedside at every moment and maybe this made everything better and I didn’t feel when time passed. I had to keep the drain tubes longer that usually, at least this is what he doctor said, because there was drainage through them. This wasn’t pleasant at all because I had to sleep exclusively on the back and this was terrible for me.
When the sutures were removed, the scar opened a little but the doctor said it’s normal and it did close eventually, no infection or anything, but I was worried. I had to wear a girdle non stop, I just started wearing it only during the day and at first I thought it is too tight, but eventually turned up to be a good size. I didn’t like the idea with the girdle, is more uncomfortable that you can imagine and tight and I think the doctor should have explained this better because it is really a long time and you have to wear it non-stop even when you go to work and during the night. I had trouble sleeping the first few nights because of this.
Also, I expected to lose a bit more weight after the tummy tuck. I was not fat before the procedure, but I expected to drop a few pounds after the excess skin came off and with the lipo, but it was less than I thought. Anyway, the results are visible in centimeters and this is ok for me. Will wait and see how things are after a few more months. Overall I am satisfied with my results

I was following Dr. Cortes on Instagram ever since I got pregnant because I knew that as soon as I gave birth I wanna see him to make some corrections ???? I knew for sure I wanted lipo and bigger breasts. Even during pregnancy, my breasts stayed the same. I wore the same bra before, during and after I gave birth. Like absolutely no change, no milk, no nothing. Very frustrating, but no problem because it helped me get the surgery sooner.

He urged me to wait at least six to eight months to get rid of all the baby weight because lipo is much more efficient when the patient is a normal weight. He said that if I was breastfeeding I should have waited at least eight, nine months after breastfeeding stopped. I was excited to get my new breasts, the best gift ever!!!!!!! I didn’t even feel the recovery period coming and going, I just wanted to see the results, I was on auto pilot all that time. I did what the doctor said and wore the post-op bra, did the belt and took Arnica Montana supplements and didn’t have any complications.
When my baby was one, I was already looking like the hottest momma ever, exactly like I wanted. And my breasts are to die for! It’s crazy what a little lipo on the tummy can do combined with the perfect implants. Now I take my baby to the park and everybody thinks I am the nanny because no new mother can look so hot!
Thank you doctor Cortes for your support and advice, everything was great and I would do it again in a heartbeat. If I can convince my hubby, I’m thinking about getting maybe some butt implants too in the future! Maybe as a cool bday gift!

What I liked best about Dr. Cortes practice and the reason I wanted to schedule my BBL with him
is the level of after care. With him you can always call someone for more details, or to answer
your questions or to give you indications. This is very comforting, especially because I am so
scared of getting surgery. I tried to avoid it, I went to the gym for six months, every day, worked
out like a maniac, at some point I was doing squats at home too, every evening, but all I
managed to do is get very toned legs. The buttocks is toned too, but somehow now it looks
even smaller than before I started with the gym, maybe because I burnt down the fat on it. I
don’t know, but I really wanted a significant improvement in the buttocks and I wanted it fast.
Luckily dr Cortes said I have enough fat for the transfer which is great, I was worried maybe
there will be no fat and I wasn’t up for gaining weight just to get it removed with lipo a few
months later, once I start eating, is not easy to stop, lipo or no lipo.
At the consultation everyone was very sweet and kind and they are always smiling which is very
good, considering my fear of needles, knifes and all related to the medical field. The staff is
chosen very well and they do a terrific job. It was great to meet dr Cortes wife, Janiris, she is a
sweetheart and we clicked immediately. She asked to call if I have questions, before or after the
surgery is done, this was great for me. I know there are many getting plastic surgery and then
being left alone to deal with side effects or complications alone and I just didn’t want this.
Fortunately this is not the case when working with dr Cortes. All members of the staff looked
like one big happy family always looking after the patients, preoccupied for everything to be
good, I liked this a lot.
